About[edit]

Survival is a play mode in minetest. All new players on Illuna TechEth begin in Survival mode, and cannot build in the central kingdom nor from 25000 to the edge of the world. Survival accounts must find food, may die, cannot fly nor pass through blocks, and everything crafted and used or placed must come from inventory the survival player acquires by manual means such as mining, shopping, trading, and farming.

After some time of demonstrating their helpfulness and creativity, players may stay in Survival mode but be granted a few extra privileges as a Trusted Player. Beyond that, some players are granted a second account that is no longer a Survival player, but instead has Creative privileges.

The Survival zone[edit]

Survival accounts are unable to edit, build, mine, or destroy almost everything in the kingdom and in the creative zones. The survival zone starts at 1000 North, South, East, and West. It extends to 25000, where the creative zones begin. Areas prevent Survival accounts from mining or building in creative zones, and conversely Creative accounts are not permitted to change anything outside creative zones.

Beginner_villages are a great place to start building or interacting with others in the Survival zone. They were partly built in Creative mode, but are in the survival zone and are specifically for use by Survival players. They are easily accessible via the map room, downstairs inside the Travelcenter.

Restrictions[edit]

Survival players may not "interact" with Creative players. That means no getting help with builds, and no receiving or buying items. Survival players can travel through creative zones, and are in fact encouraged to explore the amazing builds in the kingdom and creative zone, but nothing may be mined, built, or destroyed.
